What Does Becoming a Nonprofit Supporter Involve?

 

There are a variety ways that nonprofit organizations can support this initiative to engage baby boomers in volunteer service. You can help us spread the word about volunteering by sponsoring special events and service projects, extend the campaign’s reach by including campaign messages in your materials, or list your organization’s volunteer opportunities on the volunteer search engine.

We are also interested in hearing about your efforts to enage boomers and exploring collaborative opportunities to demonstrate innovative models for engaging baby boomers in volunteering.

Supporter Benefits

As a supporter of this initiative your organization will receive ongoing visibility for 1 year, including:

  • Recognition in year events and activities hosted by the Corporation
  • Earned media opportunities
  • Use of campaign materials, including PSAs 
  • A link to your organization’s website on www.getinvolved.gov
  • Opportunity to promote campaign messages on your organization’s products and materials
  • Access to Corporation research, articles and case studies

Supporter Commitments

Where possible, nonprofit supporters pledge to: 

  • Include campaign messages in executive speeches and corporate literature (as appropriate)
  • Provide permission to include your organization's name / logo on roster of supporters
  • Create a link to www.getinvolved.gov website on your organization's website
  • Develop and publish newsletter articles on the boomer initiative
  • Grant permission to profile your organization's boomer related volunteer programs and activites on the campaign website
  • Connect boomer constituents to volunteer opportunities
  • Promote campaign messages on your organization’s products and materials (as appropriate)
