Program Videos and PSA Materials

For nearly 40 years, Senior Corps programs have connected more than 500,000 Americans to service opportunities in their communities.

  • RSVP offers "one stop shopping" for all volunteers 55 and over who want to find challenging, rewarding, and significant service opportunities in their local communities.
  • The Foster Grandparent Program connects volunteers age 60 and over with children and young people with exceptional needs.
  • The Senior Companion Program brings together volunteers age 60 and over with adults in their community who have difficulty with the simple tasks of day-to-day living.

This seven-minute, documentary-style video highlights the contributions of Senior Corps volunteers in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi.. The video shows how these “everyday heroes,” many of whom were facing their own losses, sprang to action through the Foster Grandparent, RSVP, and Senior Companion programs to help those in great need.

Public Service Announcements

For many baby boomers, President Kennedy’s famous “Ask not…” speech was a rallying cry and compelled them to make a difference and answer the call to service. This PSA campaign is intended to encourage baby boomers to “lead, inspire and change the world…again!

The PSAs – available in English and Spanish versions for television, radio, and print – feature four baby boomers of different backgrounds sharing how community service has changed their lives and inviting their peers to join them. Web banner ads are also available to link to us on your website.
